Exploring Colors

We have been having some fun with colors lately. This started when a friend was mixing some playdough and was rather thrilled with the new color that emerged. We then had our three primary colors along with black and white to acquire the shade to our liking. The Lightning Dragons mixed these colors and came up with 3 completely unique shades. We actually had a gorgeous variety of 60 different tones of differing colors with us.

We then put our creative minds to good use and named our colors. What fun this was!!!


After we created these colors we read a book about the famous artist, Jackson Pollock and also watched a video on his works. 




We are artists in Kindergarten and here we are doing some painting, Jackson Pollock style, with the paints we personally created and named. These have eventually turned into our portraits on recycled cardboard.
